1929
A bold beginning.
Friedrich Wilhelm Pleuger establishes the company in Berlin, Germany, pioneering underwater pumps powered by patented water-filled motors.
Transforming infrastructure.
Pleuger submersible pumps debut in the Berlin subway expansion, lowering groundwater and making large-scale construction safer and more efficient. The success sparks global demand, with projects in Moscow, France, Mexico, and Argentina. Pleuger innovations enable the extraction of germ-free drinking water from great depths.

1945
Rising from adversity.
World War II devastates Pleuger’s plants in Berlin and Greitz. Friedrich Wilhelm Pleuger rebuilds with a small repair workshop in Hamburg-Altona.
A new home.
Relocation to Hamburg-Wandsbek, where Pleuger Germany remains to this day.

1951
1972
Global expansion.
Pleuger partners with the American company TRW, opening new markets and fostering technology exchange.
50 years of excellence.
Pleuger celebrates its 50th anniversary, operating in over 50 countries and serving industries across the globe.

1979
1987 - 2000
Mergers and milestones.
Through mergers with Dresser Industries, Worthington, Ingersoll-Dresser Pump Company, and Flowserve, Pleuger grows its product range and expertise to include submersible pumps and motors, single and multi-stage centrifugal pumps, horizontal and vertical plunger pumps, thrusters.
Independence restored.
After nearly two decades under large conglomerates, Pleuger regains its independence under the Flacks Group, marking a new chapter of innovation.

Expanding horizons.
Pleuger acquires AVI International, strengthening its footprint in the United States and beyond.
